All depends on use case. If you expect light armor or mild barriers the m855 is the superior cartridge with its steel penetrative core. If you want sub moa accuracy out to 300-400 yards and dont expect any barrier penetration the m193 would win out due to the inconsistency in the centering of the steel penetrative core of the m855. Neither is even close to the best ammo for either case. Both are cheap budget options. If you are planning for civil war or shtf I would look into premium hunting cartridges such as the 77 grain soft point. Quite a bit more expensive. But when your life is on the line, which would you prefer?
